So yesterday I bought this hair dye. Little did I know how greatly it will impact my life for the next 12 hours…

When I washed off the dye and looked at myself in the mirror, my jaws dropped.

I have turned my hair colour into this half-yellow, half-orange horrid mix of colour! What did I do to myself??? (Just in case you’re wondering, the sunblock has nothing to do with this…)

Mum saw me this morning despite my extensive efforts to avoid her seeing me in our little 4-room flat. Mum’s jaws dropped. (I think the colour pisses her off greatly.)


I look like some ang moh wannabe who can’t even be bothered to dye the brows.
Somehow it turned more orangey in the picture. It was more yellowy in real life.

I think somebody told me it was an ah lian colour. /pulls hair

I need to go out for emergency help. So erjie’s house it is. And I have to wear a cap to at least cover 60% of the mess on my head when I’m out.

When I removed my cap for erjie, her jaws dropped.
Even my little nephew told me I have ang moh hair!!! T____________T

Mui very nicely accompanied me there, where she re-dyed my hair to a purple-black shade.


So much happier now!

At least something good came out from this… I love dark colours on my head, I simply did not realise it earlier.

P.S. I was lucky to have applied for leave today. There is absolutely no way I am going to work with that hair colour…would have gotten an emergency leave in the end. Haha.
